Soccer camp is back! This will be our 9th year putting on this amazing event for our community!
When is the camp?
The camp starts on Sunday, July 7, and goes until Thursday, July 11. Each day the camp runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It’s July and it will be warm, so campers should be sure to bring a water bottle. A light meal is provided each day.
Where will the camp take place?
The camp will happen out on the soccer fields behind the White River Valley School in South Royalton.
How much does the camp cost?
The camp is completely free! The church covers the cost of the event with the help of some local organizations. We want kids from our community from all demographics to learn about soccer and have a great time without worrying about any expenses.
Who can come?
The camp is for kids ages 5 to 12! We encourage parents to stay and watch while their kids have fun and learn. Younger children (under 5) can play on the playgrounds at the school while some of our helpers supervise them. Older kids (13 and up) who have a sports background are invited to help if they desire. If you know someone with a sports background and would love to play a role in the camp, please have them contact the church at (802) 763-7690.
What will campers do while at the camp?
Kids start with warm ups then rotate around to drill stations where they practice dribbling, shooting, defending, and passing. In the middle of each day of camp, there is a short break for kids to eat a light meal and hear a Bible lesson. Following the break, kids go back to drill stations and then conclude with scrimmage games.
What should campers bring to the camp?
- Kids need to wear soccer shoes/cleats if they have them. If they do not, then some kind of tennis shoe.
- Shin guards if they have them (but not necessary)
- Water bottle
- Kids should wear appropriate clothing for outdoors in July. Red soccer camp shirt from the previous year if they have one, otherwise, a red t-shirt will suffice.
- Shorts
- Parents should consider putting on sunscreen for their kids before they arrive.
How do we sign up?
We ask that participating families fill out the registration form.
Registration Deadline: July 5, 2024 at 5 p.m.
Drop off: 5:30 p.m.
Pick up: 7:30 p.m.
Location: South Royalton, on the fields behind the school.
