Children and Youth

Children’s Ministry

Parents are called to diligently teach the faith to their children (Deut. 6:5–7) and to train up their children in the ways of God (Prov. 22:6). Children are also commanded by God to honor and obey their parents (Ex. 20:12, Eph. 6:1). As a church, we support parents in their calling to train up their children and encourage children to honor their parents. We do this in two primary ways:

First, by equipping parents to fulfill their callings through solid Bible teaching on Sunday mornings in both our worship services and adult Sunday School program, small group opportunities during the week, prayer, and fellowship.

Second, by providing children with focused Bible teaching and prayer times in our children’s ministry program on Sunday mornings. This program is aimed at children ages 4 to 11 and runs during the second half of the Sunday morning worship service (11:15 a.m. to noon).

Youth Ministry

Rebekah and Jacob Barnes

The teenage years have particular opportunities and challenges. A focused youth ministry gives an opportunity for our young people to connect with peers and learn what it means to walk with Jesus through these critical years of life. Our youth ministry runs on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 6 p.m. at the Red Door Church during the fall, winter, and spring months. It is for kids ages 12 to 18 and is led by Jacob and Rebekah Barnes. Our youth gatherings consist of a Bible teaching time, prayer, fun games and activities, and a snack.
