After Easter once all the excitement and festivities are over many Christians slide into cruise control during the summer. Vacations, trips, longer days, nice weather equal time off from Kingdom work for many. When Israel murmured against God about going back to Egypt God sent the symbol of Egypt (“fiery” serpent) to curse and remind them that there is no protection or salvation in Egypt.
